SEAT is entering micromobility with the KickScooter eXS, an electric scooter
SEAT and Segway have joined forces to develop the KickScooter eXS, the first 100% electric scooter from the Spanish brand
There has always been a clear focus on developing 100% electric vehicles, a technology that is essential in today’s times. However, because of this fixation, we have overlooked other means of transport that can help us get around comfortably without needing to use a car, such as the electric scooter. SEAT, a brand that is beginning to incorporate numerous technological components into its model range, has decided to unveil the KickScooter eXS, a 100% electric scooter that will allow its users to enjoy the advantages of micromobility.
The Spanish brand has collaborated with Segway, a company specialising in smart mobility. In this way, the combined knowledge of both companies has made it possible to create the KickScooter eXS, a scooter that will not only improve transport within the urban world, but also bring its main audience closer to a technology that is committed to the environment and innovative.
A scooter ideal for the city
Trends are changing in many areas, something that is also reflected in the automotive sector. The Spanish brand has recorded a 20% drop in the number of customers under 30 in Europe willing to buy a car, a clear sign that changes are needed or, as is the case, offering new, attractive and effective options.

This is where Segway came in to develop the KickScooter eXS together with SEAT, a scooter that promises to offer those people less interested in the world of four wheels an option ready to meet their needs. At the same time, the electric scooter not only aims to cover travel, but also to offer significant economic savings.
Up to 45 kilometres of range for getting around the urban world
This new offspring of the link between SEAT and Segway features important components more typical of a vehicle itself, which will provide a higher level of safety. On the one hand, we find LED lights both at the rear and front, an LCD screen, customisable ambient lighting, cruise control and a deterrent anti-theft alarm.

At the same time, this scooter has been designed by SEAT, which implies an undeniable synergy with the automotive industry, something that brings numerous advantages to the KickScooter eXS. This is reflected in the 8-inch wheels and the shock absorbers, which aim to offer great comfort to its users but, thanks to the technology provided by Segway, this scooter will reach a top speed of 25 km/h and allow the fitting of an additional battery that extends the range up to 45 kilometres, a distance more than enough to cover our urban journeys.
Available from 599 euros
Buying the new KickScooter eXS will be just as simple as buying a car, as we will be able to get our unit at any SEAT dealership. From December onwards, the Spanish brand’s network of centres will begin receiving the first models, which will have a starting price of 599 euros.

This is the Spanish brand’s first step into the electric micromobility sector, but not its last. SEAT promises to fully enter this new world, with the aim of offering its customers an alternative to the conventional vehicle, and thus being able to get around faster and reach places we could not access with a car.
