SEMA 2012: Survivor Truck is the ideal truck for surviving a zombie invasion
SEMA is the stage for unveiling bizarre vehicles, like this Chevrolet truck adapted to survive in a world ravaged by zombies.

You’ve probably noticed that zombie movies, comics and books are riding the crest of a wave; if vampires were once fashionable, now the competition with zombies is fierce, with the added bonus that they could serve as humanity’s extermination.
So, at SEMA they have gotten down to business, and one of its exhibitors has presented this Chevrolet truck specially adapted to survive in a devastated world. The creation is the work of Jim DeLozier, a security consultant (yes, one of those who advises you on how to deal with zombies), and it has absolutely everything needed for a family to be able to hold out for about two years.
The list of “essentials” reaches incredible levels, because according to the list of “optional extras” this truck has, it can include a solar electricity generator, a small water desalination plant, food for many months, medical equipment, air conditioning, heating, communications equipment, gas masks, protective suits, night-vision cameras, sniper nests (sic) and armor covering the entire truck, plus camouflage netting and a engine adapted to run on many different and alternative fuels.
If we want a truck to start the project with and not much in the way of equipment ambitions, the price starts at 100,000 dollars. But if we want the truck to be a fortress on wheels, it can cost more than 600,000 dollars; if a catastrophe really does wipe out humanity, I don’t think the 600,000 dollars will matter much, nor do I think the truck will be of any use.
Obviously, there will be no zombie invasion or anything of the sort, but this exaggeration is one of the vehicles that has drawn the most attention at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
