SEMA Show 2011: A fire truck with a Viper V10 engine
This extravagant build comes to us from the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where the V10 engine from a Dodge Viper has been transplanted into a 1944 fire truck

If there is one thing the SEMA Show is characterised by every year, it is precisely the creation of certain units that are more of a madness than a vehicle you could use in your day-to-day life. Among these versions, today I want to tell you about a certain fire truck, specifically a unit dating from 1944 to which certain individuals have decided to fit a V10 engine block taken directly from the latest generation of the Dodge Viper
Setting aside the spectacular mechanical transformation, it must be acknowledged that the work carried out on this 1944 Mack fire truck has been truly exquisite. Through this work, all the elegance with which the vehicle left the factory more than 50 years ago has been restored.
Mechanically, the Viper V10 engine producing 800 horsepower has been given major modifications, such as a much more robust, reinforced gearbox, or even the rear axle taken from a Dodge RAM, a much more modern vehicle. A true jewel worthy of the most carefully kept garage, although its firefighting capability has ended up somewhat limited.
