Skoda expands its model range in China

Skoda doubles its presence in the Chinese market as it expands its range with three new models: the Yeti, the Superb Combi and the Rapid, the latter renamed Rapid Xin Rui. With this strategy, the Czech brand confirms its commitment to one of the markets with the greatest growth.
The Skoda Rapid Xin Rui was presented at the latest Shanghai Auto Show and begins its commercial life with minor touch-ups compared with the model known in the old continent. It thus adds a few more chrome elements on the exterior and a total of nine optional packs.
With the Rapid Xin Rui, the brand enters a new segment in China with which it aims to strengthen its positioning and base its growth strategy on it. Skoda also took advantage of the Shanghai event to present the Superb Combi and the Yeti. The former is aimed at those looking for a mid-range family estate, while the Yeti squarely enters the compact SUV segment.
Since Skoda settled in China almost six years ago, its deliveries have grown by almost 800%, with sales reaching 913,800 units. Last year its deliveries reached 235,700 vehicles across the three models that made up its range at the time: the Fabia, the Octavia and the Superb.
