Skoda Octavia RS 245: the saloon in its most powerful version in history

The most powerful Octavia in the company’s history is on its way. The Octavia RS 245 will make its official debut at the Geneva International Motor Show and will go on sale in compact and saloon versions.
The sportiest saloon in the range will feature no less than 245 CV of power (15 CV more than the RS version) and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds in the saloon version, while the Combi does so a tenth of a second slower. Its top speed is limited to 250 km/h. The maximum torque it reaches is 370 Nm across a broad range between 1,600 and 4,300 rpm. It will be available with a choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox or, for the first time, a 7-speed DSG sequential gearbox.

The Octavia RS 245 will be offered for the first time with a 7-speed DSG sequential gearbox In addition to its strong performance, the Octavia RS 245 has received a series of dynamic modifications compared with the standard RS version that make it even faster. The chassis has been lowered by 14 mm, and its wheelbase is 38 mm wider than that of the previous Octavia RS. Its traction has also been optimised thanks to the use of an electronic limited-slip differential.
The Skoda Octavia RS 245 features the design of the new generation and offers a series of elements that enhance its sporty appearance. The front grille is now wider, giving the front of the vehicle a more muscular look. The headlights include Full-LED technology as standard, and the front lights are adaptive. The interior features sports seats and several aluminium-finished details. As with any Octavia, the RS 245 offers generous interior space and a large boot.

The sportiest version of the Octavia also includes the most advanced driver assistance systems on the market: trailer assist, pedestrian prediction, front assist, blind spot detection, rear traffic alert and manoeuvre assist.
The Octavia RS 245 offers the Columbus navigation system, which features a 9.2-inch screen. With this device, occupants can connect to the Internet whenever they wish, thanks to the Wi-Fi hotspot and the built-in LTE module.
