The arrival of the third generation of the Skoda Octavia at dealerships of the Czech brand is almost imminent, a version of the Octavia that uses the MQB modular platform debuted by the Audi A3, VW Golf and Seat León. The Spanish range of the Octavia will consist of three trim levels and five engine variants, with the Combi variant and the more sporty RS versions left for a future launch.

The new Skoda Octavia is 9 centimeters longer than its predecessor, which has given it more cabin space, along with a generous 590-litre boot. In size, the new Octavia sits below the Skoda Superb, although it is larger than the Skoda Rapid.

Five engine variants will arrive in our country. Among the petrol engines, the Octavia will be offered with the 1.2 TSI with 105 CV, 1.4 TSI with 140 CV and 1.8 TSI with 180 CV, the latter with an optional DSG gearbox. Among the diesels, we should mention the 1.6 and 2.0 TDI engines with 105 and 150 CV respectively. Both can optionally be fitted with a DSG automatic gearbox. In a few months we will have the Greenline models in our market, with the 1.6 TDI, and the Octavia RS, with the 2.0 TDI producing 184 horsepower and another engine of the same displacement for the petrol variant, producing 210 horsepower, which will also power the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
