Skoda unveils the first preview of its new Scala and Kamiq
The Czech brand has just published the first exterior sketches of its Kamiq and Scala, introducing design and technology updates and equipment typical of higher segments
Four years after their first launch on the European market, the Skoda Scala and Kamiq are only a few days away from being renewed, which has led the brand itself to publish the first exterior sketches of the redesign of both its city SUV and its compact model.
Although Skoda has not given any very specific details about how their ranges will be made up, nor about their detailed equipment list, it has announced that both models will feature advanced improvements in both design and technology, giving them characteristics typical of higher segments.
New headlights and redesigned bumpers

Starting with the design, both models let us appreciate the new light clusters, the redesigned front and rear bumpers, the new grille and the new alloy wheels that add an extra touch of sportiness to the whole.
In the case of the Scala, Skoda has fitted slim-design headlights that extend to the grille, and a new front bumper with three sections divided by sharp fin-shaped strips. Although it keeps a look quite similar to the current generation, the rear of the new Scala will also feature a diffuser and new-design rear lights with a more refined look.
Greater presence for the Kamiq

Turning to the Kamiq, the Czech brand has sought to improve the presence of its city SUV, fitting a larger grille in a “U” shape made up of several double vertical slats, a front bumper with a large air intake and a silver lip that protects the underbody.
At the rear, the Kamiq features a large black upper surface and a silver lower section, as well as L-shaped rear lights.
