Skyhome, the experience of a private jet in the form of an electric saloon
This electric saloon has been unveiled in China and is designed to offer its occupants a very comfortable experience on every journey.

Electric saloons continue to appear on the international market. It is the logical evolution driven by the transition towards electric vehicles, and many brands are betting on them. In China, one of these surprising electric saloons has just been presented. This model comes from one of the country’s electronics giants, Skywell, and it is quite interesting.
The car is called Skyhome and was developed by the Skyworth division of the company. And it is quite attractive. On the outside, it moves away from straight lines and features a design with curves that defines its style. This represents 90% of what the production model due to be built in series should look like, according to the company.

The suicide doors are also part of a design that is more typical of a prototype than of a production model. Possibly, in this case, that type of design will change in the production version, since traditional opening is usually more practical.
At the front, the LED headlights stand out, along with a strip using the same technology linking both headlights, which creates a very striking light signature. On the exterior, the cameras that replace the wing mirrors and the door handles integrated into the bodywork also stand out. It also features a panoramic glass roof that lets in plenty of natural light into the cabin.

Technological interior
Inside, we find a layout with three screens. One shows the instrumentation, another controls the information and entertainment system, and a third has been installed in front of the passenger so they can enjoy multimedia content during journeys.
Rear passengers can also enjoy a large flexible screen, which in this case unfolds from the roof and offers them audiovisual content. They will also be able to enjoy cold drinks thanks to a fridge installed in the rear. Passengers in the rear seats can use a folding table to work or be more comfortable, and can even recline the seats to a resting position. A foot massage allows them to relax completely. An experience that comes close to that of a private jet.
Versions on sale
This model will be sold in China, so it is possibly not going to reach Europe. It will have two versions, one with rear-wheel drive and another with all-wheel drive. The most powerful version will offer 460 kW, that is, 617 CV. With two electric motors, the 0-100 km/h sprint will take 3.5 seconds.
To improve the car’s handling, it has been equipped with air suspension and the rear axle will feature steering, so it will be very easy to drive. The price of this car will be between 220,000 and 250,000 yuan, which is roughly equivalent to between 28,000 and 33,000 euros.
