Smart Fourjoy, the future Forfour

At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Smart will present a concept showing the lines of the next-generation Forfour. The Smart Fourjoy, which is the name of this new concept, will retain all the typical attributes of the Smart that have made it the most characteristic brand of city cars.

It has a total length of 3.494 metres and a turning circle of just 9.1 metres, which allows it to move with complete ease through the streets of any city. Externally, it stands out for its enormous wheels and for the rear lights integrated into the tridion safety cell.

The lack of doors and roof reminds us that this is still a concept model, although it allows us to see its interior, where the rear bench, inspired by a modern design sofa, stands out. As might be expected, its interior features all kinds of technology, including touchscreens and a spherical instrument cluster.

As for the mechanics, it is equipped with a state-of-the-art electric motor producing 55 kW, which will allow it to move around the city without any problem. The brand’s intention is to unveil the definitive model in the first months of next year, so that it can be available at all dealerships from the end of 2014.
