Some more details about the Mercedes-Benz BLS

The younger sibling of the Mercedes-Benz CLS already has some new details to reveal, courtesy of AutoExpress, which, as is only logical, have not been confirmed or denied by the manufacturer, so we will file them under the label “unofficial”.
As it should be in a vehicle that uses the same platform as the Mercedes A-Class or B-Class, the BLS is not an overly large coupé; it would measure 4.6 metres from bumper to bumper, almost the same size as a Ford Focus saloon, for example.
In the engine line-up, there is speculation that it could come standard with two petrol engines: the 1.6 petrol and the 1.8 and 2.1-litre turbo diesel and naturally aspirated diesel, respectively. The BLS AMG variant is planned with a two-litre turbo engine that would produce around 350 horsepower. In all cases the gearbox option will be manual, although a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic could be optional.
As for further details, it is not even known whether the BLS will keep this name or have its badge changed, but it will be one of the models present at the Frankfurt show next month.
