Something to enjoy: video of the Pagani Zonda R tested by Tiff Needell

It’s Saturday (or Shabbat in Hebrew), a day of rest and relaxation for the people of Israel… and for us too. So sit back and relax with the video I’m bringing you here. It’s about the Pagani Zonda R, tested by Tiff Needell for the British programme Fifth Gear. Though, on second thought, if you really love cars, you won’t be relaxing so much as getting very, very excited.

The Pagani Zonda R is the most extreme version of the Zonda. It is a limited edition of just 10 units, designed exclusively for track driving. It has an AMG V12 engine producing 750 CV of power and 710 Nm of torque. Its price: €1,400,000.

The performance, as one would expect, is extraordinary. It reaches 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, and what is even more surprising, it is capable of completing a lap of the Nürburgring in 6 minutes and 47 seconds (video). Another interesting fact is that it is the only Zonda with a sequential gearbox and paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, and it shifts from one gear to the next in 20 milliseconds.
