Spy Photos of the Alfa Romeo Milano
The Italian brand Alfa Romeo has become a tough competitor for the VW Golf. Alfa Romeo replaces the old 147 with an elegant family model that will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
From the spy photos we show you, it is easy to deduce that the design language of the MiTo has been carried over to the Alfa Romeo Milano. Large front headlights, the badge in the center of the front grille and, at the rear, a pair of black circular lights give the new Milano an exterior quite similar to the MiTo.
Alfa usually bases its new platforms on previous ones, but this time the new Milano will be built on a new platform that will serve as the basis for the next 159, which, according to some rumours, will be called Giulia.
The Milano is expected to be more spacious than the 147 and will come as standard with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the more powerful models will feature the classic 3.2-litre V6.
Sales will begin early next year and we expect to have more details about the model before it is presented in Frankfurt.
