Spy photos of the Hyundai i30

Here is a small set of spy photos of the next-generation Hyundai i30 during winter testing. They were captured near the German headquarters of the Korean brand.

The camouflage is still very heavy, although the exposed parts give us an idea of some design details. The rear lights change shape and position, also incorporating LED lighting. The profile is more elegant, with horizontal lines closer to “European” taste.

Under the bonnet we will find a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 122 CV and 155 Nm of torque; and a 1.7-litre diesel with 115 CV and 255 Nm of torque.

But the i30 has its sights set on rivals such as the Golf, so the range is also expected to include a direct-injection turbo petrol engine with 140 CV and 167 Nm of torque, as well as the 177 CV variant developed for the Veloster.
