Taiga Motors Orca - The first 100% electric jet ski has arrived!

Taiga Motors has unveiled the Orca, the first 100% electric jet ski, an initiative that is sure to become very popular in the world of water sports as well.

Water sports will soon join the electric trend, and a good example of this is the new project from Taiga Motors. Named the Orca, this new jet ski is the first of its kind, being 100% electric and offering a total range of 2 hours of jumps and plenty of fun out at sea.

Its total power output is 134 kW, which in fact translates to no less than 180 CV, something absolutely impressive considering its size and weight. It is a “missile”, basically.

Its top speed, hold on tight, reaches 105 km/h, something absolutely incredible considering it will be ridden on seawater. On top of that, its robust, cosmopolitan and technological design, which is very reminiscent of other brands such as Tesla, will be the talk of the town among many water sports enthusiasts for a long season.

Another great advantage this bike offers is that the company itself provides a warranty of 5 years, or up to 20,000 km.

The technology, as we mentioned before, is fully integrated into the Taiga Motors. It features a central screen, fully digital and waterproof, where we can enjoy GPS, 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth radios, among others. Just don’t let it tempt you to watch some video on YouTube in the middle of the sea!

Other gadgets such as sensors that measure water temperature, a range indicator, integrated cameras or a sonar are some of the extras this little treat includes.

It also comes with a completely standalone app to connect our bike with the smartphone.

Of course, something as desirable as this Taiga Orca comes with a price tag: specifically, $24,000, which is roughly €21,000. Its production will begin next year, 2020.

The first buyers will be able to get an exclusive edition with unique design and performance packages, all for $28,000.

For those who still don’t understand its high price, it is important to note that, besides the technology it incorporates, the novelty of its operation with electric technology or its avant-garde design, it is also largely manufactured with materials such as carbon fiber, which promises a total weight of 124 kg, that is, lighter than an asphalt motorbike.

Those who can or want to get one will also be able to customize any part of the bike, from finishes and colors to the seat texture or the footrest position.

Without a doubt, the Taiga Orca promises to be exciting, but above all, it seems ready to become one of the best jet skis on the market, and certainly the most technological.
