Tata will present the new Indica Vista in a few weeks

The Indian firm will make the official announcement of the new model very soon, although it was already seen in January at the New Delhi Auto Show, and after which it will go on sale in India, and will arrive in Europe throughout 2009.
Not much is known about the Indica Vista, although part of the information available concerns the engines. The diesel versions will use Fiat-origin blocks of 1.3 litres and 75 horsepower, plus a possible 1.5. In petrol form, a new 1.2i VVT engine with reduced consumption and variable valve timing.
Its arrival in the range will serve to improve the current offer of the Indica V2 and the Indigo CS, Marina and XL. The new model debuts a new platform that promises good handling and interior space. It will also improve the equipment, although perhaps ESP will not be available at the start of sales.
