Tesla Model S 2019: this could be the new electric saloon from Tesla
It seems clear that the Tesla Model S is due for a makeover. And a proposal like the one from designer Emre Husmen would surely be well received by the brand’s followers.
Tesla has played in the top flight with practically no rivals for many years. Especially the Tesla Model S. But now, mainly thanks to the German brands, a wave of new premium electric cars is arriving in every category, which is going to change things considerably. Just recently we told you about 3 new electric cars that are going to make life very difficult for Tesla.
Turkish designer Emre Husmen proposes this interesting design for what could be the future generation of the Tesla Model S
If we focus on its flagship, it has already been six years since the Tesla Model S hit the market. And yes, the large electric saloon from Tesla still plays a leading role in terms of technology. Currently, the Tesla Model S is sold in versions with power outputs ranging from the 333 CV of the Model S 75D to the 612 CV of the Model S P100D. Prices start at around 80,000 euros and can reach 150,000 euros for the most powerful version. Range, depending on the version, goes from 466 km for the entry model to 572 for the most powerful, equipped with one motor per axle and all-wheel drive.

But at Tesla they are already thinking about a new generation of the Model S that will put things in their place in the face of what is coming. Above all in terms of exterior and interior design. And this is where we find the proposal from designer Emre Husmen, which surely won’t have gone unnoticed by Elon Musk. The controversial businessman and founder of Tesla is in the news again these days. And not precisely because of the announcement of new models, but because of an action on his personal Twitter account. His surprise announcement of the supposed stock market flotation of the company has unsettled the stock market for several trading sessions.
This could be what the next generation of the Tesla Model S looks like
But let’s return to the Model S and Emre Husmen’s proposal. Because it is very probably not far off from what the future generation of this electric saloon needs. Namely: a more striking design, both outside and inside, with even more aerodynamic lines that at the same time convey sportiness. To achieve this, a clearly sloping roofline and a certain saloon-coupé style could be employed. Like the one in Emre Husmen’s sketches, which has opted to “draw” a Model S with very muscular lines from any angle.

Don’t miss the detail of the large panoramic roof, the possibilities that OLED lighting technology would allow according to Husmen, or the interior clearly inspired by the Model 3. Without a doubt, the Model S needs to take a step forward to compete on equal terms with Audi, BMW, Porsche or Mercedes in matching the quality of finish, workmanship and fit of the German brands.
