Tesla will allow live streaming from its cars
Tesla will allow live streaming from its cars through the car’s central screen while charging at Superchargers.
Tesla will allow live streaming from its cars, and this is not the first time rumours have circulated on the subject. Some sources suggest that Elon Musk‘s company may use the large central screen to play streaming videos while charging.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has confirmed via Twitter, one of his favourite social networks for making updates about his models public or even confirming rumours, that in the short term, Tesla owners will be able to play streaming videos while charging the battery.

The company will add WiFi connectivity to all Superchargers, so that vehicles can connect to this network while charging and watch streaming videos in the vehicle.

Central screen in landscape, something planned?
Following the confirmation by Elon Musk via Twitter about the future playback of streaming videos in his cars, rumours have not stopped, and since the Tesla Model 3 was launched there has been speculation about the change in orientation of the central screen.
While the Tesla Model S and the Tesla Model X have a vertical screen, the Tesla Model 3 has a horizontal one. Is the viewing of streaming videos while the vehicles charge one of the reasons that led Tesla to change the orientation of its screens?
When will videos be playable in Tesla cars?
It is important to note that although video players can be accessed through the screen, they will not play while the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, Elon Musk’s recent statement comes with a catch.
Streaming videos will only be playable when the vehicle is connected to the brand’s Supercharger WiFi network. In this way, possible access to other networks to watch films or series while the car is driving will be avoided.

Everything points to the playback of streaming video while the vehicle charges its batteries at Superchargers arriving with a software update. It will be the tenth version of Tesla’s software, and for now its release date is unknown.
