The Camaro Super Yenko could return to the streets

After twenty-seven years, the name of the extraordinary Yenko muscle car is making headlines again in the four-wheel world, as the current owner of the brand will revive its name by introducing a line of customizable cars.
The president of General Marketing Capital Incorporated (GMCI), Jeff Leonard, officially announced that the company plans to build several models, among which limited editions will stand out.
It has also been indicated that the launch of the Yenko brand will take place in the coming weeks and, according to speculation, it could be timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the vehicle.
Originally, the Yenko of the sixties was a car that was ordered in a special way, as it was only available through the tuner Don Yenko Chevrolet; this company typically tuned vehicle fleets that needed more power, such as police cars.
However, in 1969 the performance offered by the new modification package for the muscle car gave rise to a legend called Camaro Super Yenko; only 201 units were built, some of which were auctioned last year for more than 2.2 million dollars.
In short, it will be very interesting to follow GMCI’s project, since the tuner could obtain huge profits by capitalizing on the popularity of the new Camaro and the well-remembered Yenko.
