The car war in India continues: Hyundai H800

It seems that the Tata Nano is a very attractive target for certain brands, which have decided to expand into India, one of the most potentially powerful markets for the future. One of those brands is Hyundai, which has decided to develop a small car, priced to compete with the Nano, at around 3,500 euros final price.
The H800 will have a petrol engine, as announced by the executives of the Korean brand in India. A small 800 cc engine would power the H800, which would replace certain models in Hyundai’s small but more expensive segment in India.
It was also announced that the first models of this mini-car will undergo their first tests in mid-year, so that it will be ready by 2011. As expected, there remains the question of whether the Hyundai H800 will go beyond the borders of India and surrounding areas, perhaps to other emerging markets such as China, Brazil or other countries (even Europe), just as the Nano did at the time. However, the decision to sell the model internationally will depend on the sales response it receives next year.
