The Citroën C3 is a resounding success, with 300,000 units sold since its launch
The Citroën C3 went on sale in November 2016 and, after just over a year on the market, it already has 300,000 units delivered to customers.

Bringing a product to market that fits the market well is no simple task, especially today, when every single brand makes its best efforts to offer highly attractive vehicles. Citroën has always been a pioneer in innovation, both aesthetically and mechanically, and one of its greatest exponents is the C3, a model that, in its third generation, has broken all the rules with an impressive number of sales after barely a year on the market.
In November 2016, the third Citroën C3 was unveiled, showing a side never seen before that set aside everything its first two generations had achieved. The French compact adopted a groundbreaking style inspired by that of its bigger sibling, the C4 Cactus, but with features that exuded a youthful spirit everywhere. The brand’s double-chevron strategy worked perfectly and today the C3 has 300,000 sales in just over a year.
This success is mainly due to the good value for money offered by the French city car and, at the same time, to its carefree styling. It achieves this by adopting features typical of an SUV, such as a raised front end, very pronounced wheel arches, or protective cladding at the rear. The presence of the airbumps also gives the C3 a great deal of personality, since these elements have become a signature of Citroën.

The cabin also exudes the same essence of a fresh, modern car, something it achieves through a combination of several colours matching the exterior and standard equipment that is genuinely attractive. The screen that dominates the dashboard brings together all the typical functions of a higher-segment vehicle, such as a navigation system, a rear-view camera and much more.
Buyers of the no-longer-so-small C3 have appreciated the package it offers, which is why a high number of customers have opted for the top trim level, called Shine. Specifically, it accounts for 45%, and this is due to the extensive equipment offered by this version, something that also applies to the other trims, but to a lesser extent.

This is only the beginning for the Citroën C3, as its commercial life will continue for a long time and, little by little, we will see more versions of the compact, such as the C3 Aircross. Without a doubt, 300,000 units sold is a very high figure, but it won’t be long before we see how the conventional C3 surpasses that number.
