The DGT will fine drivers from 135 km/h

From 1 January of this same year the director of the Directorate-General for Traffic has announced that fixed speed cameras and those used by the Guardia Civil Traffic Group will fine drivers from 135 km/h on roads with a 120 km/h limit.
All speed cameras have a margin of error, but as technology advances that margin of error is being reduced, which until now was set at 138 km/h in the case of mobile speed cameras. Therefore, with this new announcement, depending on the accuracy of our speedometer, we could even come close to 140 km/h in some cases without the device going off.
In addition to this news, the Ministry of the Interior has advanced the installation of 100 more speed cameras this year, and among the figures they have provided, in 2010 the percentage of vehicles detected at more than 140 km/h was 0.3%, while in 2001 it was 6.8%.
