DS DS 4 Compact Photos Salón de Frankfurt
The DS4 restyling leaks ahead of schedule

The DS4 is one of the three models that make up the brand’s current range DS, the luxury arm of the PSA group, specifically of Citroën.
Since its launch in 2010 the DS4 has remained unchanged. Now the brand is giving it a restyling that we will get to know in depth at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The restyling of the DS4 was a well-kept secret until the photographs we bring you were leaked onto the internet, revealing the new look of the compact model from the French brand. The DS4 adopts a style very similar to that of its bigger sibling, the DS5.

The front is where most of the changes are concentrated. The front grille, until now dominated by Citroën’s two chevrons, is replaced by a new one, larger and with squarer shapes. The Citroën logo disappears to make way for the “DS” of the French luxury brand.
The headlight units also change their appearance. They are now much more angular, and inside we find a layout similar to the brand’s other models, with several projectors. Presumably the lighting system will also feature LED and xenon technology.
At the rear the changes are less obvious, limited to light units with a somewhat different, more high-tech look. The alloy wheels have also been redesigned to be more attractive.

Inside, the biggest changes are found in the centre console, redesigned to resemble more closely that of the DS5, as well as a new multimedia system. Better-quality materials may be used for some trim, although we will have to wait to see this in person at the Show to confirm it.
Mechanically no changes are expected, although the leaked photographs suggest that the “normal” version of the DS4 has undergone modifications to the suspension, now sitting lower and looking more like a traditional compact, rather than the odd “compact-SUV” mix the brand has been selling until now.
