The Eterniti Hemera already has a launch date

The Eterniti Hemera, based on the Porsche Cayenne, will be unveiled at the next Beijing Motor Show, with the aim of being an alternative to current and future SUVs from luxury brands.

If you don’t quite remember what the Eterniti Hemera is about, it is a luxury SUV that promises to be the ultimate expression of luxury SUVs and to go head-to-head on equal terms with the BMW M5 or the future SUVs from Bentley or Maserati. The news today is that the people at Eterniti Motors have already revealed a launch date: April 2012.

According to Eterniti’s engineers, the specifications of the new model are already 80% complete. Don’t think it will be too novel, since it will take the 600-hp V8 engine from the Cayenne Turbo S, as well as the chassis, though with new specifications.

Eterniti Motors has taken the Porsche chassis and given it more passenger space (compromising cargo room, of course) or changes in dimensions and height, lower, compared with the German SUV. With all this, the Hemera promises to be a resounding improvement over the Cayenne in terms of dynamic handling as well as finish and comfort.

The official presentation of the Hemera will be at the 2012 Beijing show, evidently aimed at the Asian consumer. For this reason, 90% of the models to be manufactured will be destined for China, while the rest will be distributed among Russia, Europe and the Middle East.
