The Fiat Dobló will go on sale in the USA

The RAM brand will take the Fiat Dobló into its lineup, making it a rival to the Chrysler that they want to take on against the Ford Transit in the USA. Marchionne has signed an agreement with the Turkish manufacturer that builds the Dobló to supply 190,000 units for export, some of them for North America.
For now, and before the Dobló, the only thing Chrysler has in its catalogue to offer its commercial customers are the well-known pick-ups and a commercial version, almost improvised, of the Dodge Caravan. One of the first variants, a priori, is that the Fiat Doblo will need some cosmetic adjustment to look right in the American market, considering that the nose may seem “too European” to them.
Exports of the Dobló will begin arriving in the USA in 2013, after a fairly significant investment by Fiat in Turkey so that its local plant meets the quality and safety requirements and regulations of the North American market.
