The Ford Mustang could be updated for more power in 2020
Following the discovery of several documents related to the Ford Mustang for 2020, it has become clear that two 2.3-litre four-cylinder engines are on the way, producing a total of 310 CV and 350 Nm of torque.
The Ford Mustang is one of the most coveted cars among motoring enthusiasts. Over the years it has earned its place as a legend, whether through the films it has starred in or the roar of its incredible engine that declares American power on every side.

Thanks to the discovery of certain documents, an update to the models planned for 2020 has come to light. Specifically, two 2.3-litre engines that will generate 310 CV of power and 350 Nm of torque.

These figures are more than enough to get excited, although of course we shouldn’t expect the incredible sound produced by the V8 found in its bigger brother, the Ford Mustang GT, and if we get carried away, just imagine what the GT 500 sounds like…
According to Bozi Tatarevic:
“Sources reaching us from Ford indicate that a new, more powerful, turbocharged engine is being “cooked up” for the base-model Mustang.”
The reason behind this increase could be an attempt to better compete with one of its most direct rivals, the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE.

That said, this 2.3-litre Ecoboost version has not been very well received overall, since for an extra €8,000 you can get the monstrous 460 CV V8 that sounds like the engine heaven is supposed to sound like.
And for this engine, an update also seems to be coming, as a new option for 2020 with a massive 526 CV of power has apparently been spotted, in a monstrous 5.2-litre V8. Still, it could also be an engine option for the GT500, so nothing is certain.

We cannot yet say anything with certainty, but what seems clear is that the Mustangs arriving in 2020 will be more powerful than ever. We’ll be getting our ears ready to snap our necks around and not miss a single detail.
