The GTA Spano triumphs at Autobello Marbella and unveils its new powertrain
Among a good number of exclusive and ultra-luxury cars, the Spanish supercar took the top prize at this contest of beauty and remarkable cars

Cars are those highly practical and efficient objects that take us from one place to another, though they can also be genuine objects of desire. Cars that go beyond four wheels and an engine to get around, and that are true jewels and works of art we would all love to have in our garage. That is why, in various places around the world, exhibitions of spectacular, beautiful and attractive cars are held for everyone. Pebble Beach, Lake Como and others showcase those cars that take the concept of luxury to another level.
In Spain, these automotive beauty contests are starting to be held in some cities, so we also have the chance to see truly spectacular cars. With this idea, editions of Autobello Madrid and Autobello Barcelona have been held, as well as Autobello Marbella, which was the latest of them. And it was at this Malaga event that the gold cup was awarded to the only Spanish supercar, the GTA Spano,

The GTA Spano arrived at Autobello Marbella with a new 8.0-litre V10 twin-turbo engine, which gives the car a power output of 925 CV and delivers a peak torque of 1220 Nm. The gearbox that transmits this power is a 7-speed robotised sequential transmission with carbon synchros. With these figures it achieves 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 2.9 seconds and takes the car to a top speed of 370 km/h.
The Spanish supercar uses a carbon monocoque chassis that makes it unique in today’s market among all supercar manufacturers, and it incorporates innovative materials such as titanium and graphene in its construction, achieving greater rigidity and lightness, making the GTA Spano one of the main benchmarks in the sector.
There are only 99 units of this luxury vehicle, so we won’t see it in many more places. It was one of the featured cars in Need for Speed, for example, but beyond that it appears rarely, in order to maintain the aura of exclusivity that is the hallmark of the car created by Spania GTA. For that reason, it took this award, over the other cars that arrived at the contest, which are also very spectacular but are not a GTA Spano.
