The high-end SUV from Opel, the Grandland, comes with a hybrid version from €37,100
Having just unveiled a hybrid version of its best-selling model, the Corsa, Opel launches its high-end SUV with 48-volt mild hybrid technology

Opel presents an addition to its range that we have all been waiting for, because the famous Opel Grandland has taken on a 48 V hybrid version in order to obtain the coveted ECO label from the DGT. This high-end SUV combines the best of technology with the elegance that characterises the brand, a petrol engine and an electric motor that reduce consumption by up to 15%. And best of all, it reaches the market with an attractive starting price of just €37,100, VAT included in Spain.
This model, which by adopting a hybrid version increases its rivals, is set to compete with models that stand out in the market such as the SEAT Ateca, the Renault Arkana, the Hyundai Tucson or even the Skoda Karoq.

The engine we were expecting
The new Opel Grandland Hybrid features an advanced propulsion system that combines a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. This engine, which produces 100 kW/136 CV, has been developed specifically for hybrid use and is paired with a new six-speed electrified dual-clutch transmission and an electric motor delivering 21 kW/28 CV.
It is especially efficient in urban environments, where the 48V electric motor assists with starting and acceleration, even allowing fully electric driving at low speeds. With Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes, this SUV offers versatile and agile performance, with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 10 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. In addition, its compact design makes the most of the cargo space, with a capacity of up to 1,652 litres, and a towing capacity of up to 1,250 kilograms, making it ideal for any type of journey.

Furthermore, the battery recharges automatically during deceleration, eliminating the need for external charging and guaranteeing a worry-free driving experience.
Intelligent design without compromising space
Despite its advanced hybrid system, the Grandland Hybrid does not compromise interior space or cargo capacity. The electric motor is integrated into the transmission housing and the battery is strategically placed under the front left seat, which does not reduce interior space but, if anything, contributes to the car’s dynamic improvements. Furthermore, it offers a very competent cargo capacity of up to 1,652 litres.

Inside, we find a fully digital driver information display of 12 inches, which provides a clear view of the vehicle’s specific details, from the output of the hybrid system to the state of charge of the battery.
In addition to its advanced hybrid technology, the Grandland Hybrid offers an exceptional level of comfort and safety. With features such as the Intelli-Lux LED® Pixel Matrix light, the 360-degree camera and state-of-the-art driver assistance systems, drivers can be confident that they are protected at all times. And with infotainment options compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as ergonomic active seats with AGR certification for maximum occupant comfort.
