The Hyundai Azera shows us a teaser video

As Hyundai has been announcing since mid-year, the efforts to compete against the Toyota Avalon in the US continue with the redesign of one of the brand’s top-of-the-range Korean vehicles in Los Angeles, the Azera.

As you may recall, the Azera is the version for the North American market of the Grandeur, although the changes introduced in the new Azera are not so profound as to suggest that they will be two different versions for different markets.

It is not known whether the Azera will also get new engines, given that it currently comes with just two versions of the V6, with very little difference between one and the other, defined by the trim level one wants to buy. Curiously, in the US these two versions are 3.4-litre and 3.8-litre, with a difference between the two of 26 horsepower. In Korea, the Grandeur is sold with the 3.4-litre engine and a four-cylinder engine, which also could reach the US.
