The interior of the new Mercedes A-Class will be fully unveiled at CES 2018

This interior and its new 7-inch and 10.25-inch screens will be fitted to two concept cars featuring the latest technology from the German brand

We already had the opportunity to see the new interior of the Mercedes A-Class, but we were missing details about the new infotainment system that will equip the compact from the German manufacturer. That is why it will be one of the stars of the upcoming CES 2018, which will take place in early January in Las Vegas. This redesigned interior will be on display so that we can all see and check out how this new proposal from Mercedes works, which will arrive with this model and will gradually be integrated into other models.

It is called Mercedes-Benz User Experience, although from now on we will know it as MBUX. To give us an idea, we know it will consist of two screens of 7 inches, although the top-of-the-range models will increase that size to 10.25 inches, and there will also be an intermediate model with one screen of each size.

One of them will replace the traditional instrument cluster, and the other will control the air conditioning, everything related to entertainment and connectivity and other elements of the model. Everything will be more intuitive, easier to access and offer better control of any of those functions.

For now, it is known that the MBUX will be present in the compact A-Class, but also in the B-Class MPV, the CLA four-door coupé, the CLA shooting brake and the GLA. In addition, a new crossover called the GLB is rumoured, so this setup will be quite popular in the German brand.

At CES we will not see it mounted on the Mercedes A-Class; instead, it will be present in the Concept EQA and the Smart Vision EQ ForTwo, two concept cars that will be shown at the Las Vegas event alongside the always impressive Mercedes-AMG Project One. In addition, Mercedes will take the opportunity to showcase its autonomous or semi-autonomous driving technology with demonstration vehicles that will drive around the city during the days of the event.
