The Lotus Elise 250 Special Edition arrives to make a statement

Lotus is a brand you should not take your eyes off. It is a company that builds cars to dream about, with all the performance we dream of, but always with its eyes on a glorious past, paying tribute to the cars that have made the company’s name a benchmark for all enthusiasts of luxury cars. Its latest offering is the Lotus Elise 250 Special, a car based on the Lotus Elise Cup that we saw appear earlier this year, but which draws on some of the brand’s most famous models.
The first thing that catches the eye about this car is its weight. Carbon fibre components mean it reaches only 899 kilos, so the power of its 1.8-litre engine, which produces 243 CV, makes it a very efficient car with acceleration that takes it from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

These carbon fibre elements include a rear spoiler, the front splitter, the tailgate and the bonnet, parts that create a genuinely striking look from the outside. The car is available in four colours, the ones customers have requested most over the last 50 years. To complete the look, the car offers finishes in red, white, yellow and blue, which make the British brand instantly recognisable.
Options include ultralight alloy wheels in silver or black and a carbon fibre roof, which makes the car look even better. The interior continues the decorative theme, with carbon fibre seats upholstered in dark blue or dark grey leather and equipment that matches the exclusive image this special model aims to offer, with which Lotus will celebrate its first 50 years of service to the most demanding drivers.
