The Maserati GranCabrio will arrive in the United States under a different name

The convertible version of the Italian GranTurismo will reach Western markets under the name Maserati GranTurismo Convertible, since the term “cabrio” is not widely used in North America.
The decision made by the Italian manufacturer seems exaggerated to me, because any consumer is always informed about the launch of new models, and thanks to the globalization of communication it is very hard for any term to remain unknown for long.
The sports car will arrive with all the European features, so North American customers will not need to worry about any servicing on the 4.7L V8 engine, which allows acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 284 km/h.
Another point that will fascinate customers is the boot space, since its cargo volume has not been reduced compared to the coupe. In addition, the automatic roof deploys in 24 seconds, so passenger protection against any unexpected weather change will be effective.
The convertible was officially unveiled last week in New York and will be available to users in that country from next year, although the company has already started receiving orders.
