The Mazda CX-3 gets a makeover at the New York Motor Show and is updated for 2019
The facelifted Mazda CX-3 has been unveiled at the New York Motor Show, featuring upgraded standard equipment that goes beyond the current version

At the New York Motor Show the latest update to the Mazda CX-3 was on display, a mid-size SUV that is quite appealing to buyers in this segment. The gap between the current version and the one presented in New York is not huge, but it delivers a more up-to-date model, both in terms of styling and technical and technological equipment.
The exterior has not changed much, but it does bring some modifications that make a difference. These include a new grille, additional chrome trim, some pieces finished in Piano Black, and the addition of the special Crystal paint, which gives the car a different and more elegant look.

The car also features LED rear lights, and the wheels are now 18-inch. The interior is where the most changes and novelties over the current model can be seen. For example, an electronic parking brake has been added, which has freed up some space on the centre console. In the new Mazda CX-3, the space has been reorganised and the armrest and cup holders have been redesigned.

There are more changes inside, as more leather elements have been included, with redesigned seats that offer higher levels of comfort, and soft fabrics on the console and instrument panel, as well as on the door panels. The interior vents have red finishes that give a different and more pleasing look.
As for engines, the new Mazda CX-3 gets a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engine, which delivers 148 CV and 200 Nm of torque. This engine performs better than the one currently under the bonnet. The car’s handling is improved thanks to Mazda’s Vectoring Control-G system, which enhances steering control and offers greater safety.
The updated Mazda CX-3 will reach the market during spring, although no price changes have been announced yet, so we will have to wait a little longer to find out.
