The MINI Cooper pays tribute to its city of origin with the limited Oxford Edition
MINI pays tribute to its roots in the English city of Oxford with the limited Oxford Edition for the Cooper in its C and S versions

The city of Oxford, in the United Kingdom, is a very special place for the English brand MINI, since it was there that the first Mini classic of 1959 was built at its assembly plant, and later, specifically from 2001, the BMW Group has been manufacturing the modern MINI at the same facilities. As you can imagine, these facilities and the city of Oxford itself are an important part of the brand’s history and roots, which serve as the basis for celebrating and paying tribute to them, taking advantage of the 25th anniversary of the modern MINI.
The MINI Cooper has always been seen as the perfect vehicle for personalisation, which is why it is the main star of the personalised editions the brand launches, and of course it could not be missing from this very special edition. The MINI Cooper Oxford Edition is now available to order in the Spanish market, in C and S versions, which feature a dedicated design, as we will see below.

The MINI Cooper Oxford Edition pays tribute to its roots with a large Union Jack covering the entire white roof, a colour that also appears on the mirror housings and will contrast with the Chilli Red II and Indigo Sunset Blue colours the brand lets you choose for the rest of the bodywork. It rides on 18-inch Slide Spoke two-tone wheels, with centre caps and valves featuring exclusive details for this edition, and the red and white central stripe runs along the entire MINI Cooper.

Inside the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition there are also unique details, with the Union Jack as the main feature: the flag is printed as a texture on the steering wheel, as the background of the central screen, and on the driver’s floor mat, while the passenger’s features a chequered flag in homage to MINI’s racing tradition. Finally, the door sills are specially decorated to commemorate the 25 years of the MINI Cooper.

As I mentioned a little earlier, the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition will first be available in the “C” version, which uses a three-cylinder petrol engine delivering 156 CV and a torque of 230 Nm, and secondly in the “S” version, whose performance rises to 204 CV and 300 Nm of torque thanks to the four-cylinder petrol engine.

Let’s remember that the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition will be offered as a limited edition of 100 units intended only for Spain, of which 70 units will be for the “C” version, with 35 units in Indigo Sunset Blue and another 35 in Chilli Red II, all priced at 35,500 euros. The remaining 30 units are for the “S” version, with 15 units available in Indigo Sunset Blue and the other 15 in Chilli Red II, all priced at 39,990 euros.
