Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid Cars SUV
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has sold 100,000 units across Europe
Mitsubishi has enjoyed strong success thanks to its Outlander PHEV. This hybrid SUV has sold 100,000 units in Europe thanks to its versatility.

Hybrid and crossover were two words that would probably not have fit together well a few years ago, but times change and so do cars. Over time, we have noticed that as electric vehicles have gradually gained ground in today’s market, they have reached a point where they coexist harmoniously with combustion models. However, some stand out above others, as is the case with the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, which has become one of the best-selling hybrid vehicles in Spain.
The Japanese brand has made a major leap over the course of these last few years. During that time, they have applied hard work and effort, which has allowed them to offer models such as the Eclipse Cross and the Outlander PHEV. That combination of SUV and hybrid has enabled Mitsubishi to create one of the most profitable and efficient vehicles in history.
This new model is capable of offering all the space and versatility of a 4×4 while, at the same time, achieving fuel consumption typical of a compact. European customers of the brand have known how to appreciate this, since 100,000 units are already on the road on our continent. At the same time, Spanish buyers also show a strong preference for the Japanese SUV, as a large number of sales has been recorded.

It achieves this thanks to its hybrid powertrain, which combines an electric motor and, of course, a combustion engine. The Outlander comes as standard with a 2.0-litre engine producing 121 CV and, at the same time, an electric motor delivers 82 CV. Both powerplants combined are capable of producing a total output of 203 CV. This power is more than enough to move the Japanese SUV with ease and provide comfortable motorway journeys.
Furthermore, the Outlander PHEV has a range of 54 kilometres in electric mode, which is ideal if our daily journey involves urban driving. In this way, the 4×4 has been awarded the Zero Emissions label, granted by the DGT, which gives its owners a considerable number of advantages.

But this is not the only benefit the Outlander offers with this powertrain, since it comes with a series of generous discounts for its hybrid design. In this way, future buyers will be able to save a considerable amount of money, and will only have to pay 34,120 euros. At the same time, this amount can be recovered quite quickly thanks to the savings that the SUV’s mechanics entail.
