The Mototaxi arrives in Spain to revolutionise public transport

Motorbikes are the best alternative for escaping traffic jams, so a new form of public transport has been devised: the Mototaxi, which combines the motorbike with public transport.

This service has been a success in Paris, Caracas, London and various large cities and it is now setting off in Spain in the hope of becoming an accepted alternative for getting around the city. For now, Murcia will be the first to try this new means of transport, and once the results are in, the possible options will be studied.

The company Motojet Express will make available to the citizens of Murcia a fleet of motorbikes with riders, with which they will be able to travel to different points around the city without getting stuck in traffic and while using public transport.

The number of motorcycles has not been determined, since they prefer to wait to increase the fleet once demand reaches certain figures, and if all goes well it will be extended to more Spanish cities, although it will be difficult to reach the number of mototaxis in Caracas, where almost 30,000 units circulate each day.

We hope that this alternative is well received in Spain and that we can see mototaxis spread across many Spanish cities.

We will keep an eye on the Mototaxi.
