The new Infiniti Q70 is now available in Spain

Presented at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the update to the Infiniti Q70, a model that was brought in line with the new nomenclature in April 2014, includes several styling revisions, mainly at the front, and improved interior space thanks to greater sound insulation. The Spanish subsidiary has just started selling the car in our country and has released the details of the range and prices.

The Q70 is available with three engines. The novelty is the four-cylinder diesel engine, with a displacement of 2.2 litres and Mercedes-Benz origin, which was already offered in the Q50. It produces 170 CV of power and 400 Nm of maximum torque. It is paired with the same seven-speed automatic gearbox with sequential mode fitted to the other variants.

This combination allows the Q70 2.2d to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 km/h. The most efficient version of the saloon consumes 4.9 l/100 km on the combined cycle and emits 129 g/km of CO2. Although the 2.2d does not replace it, Infiniti has dropped the diesel version with the 3.0-litre V6 engine and 238 CV.

The other two options were already previously part of the saloon’s range. These are the 3.7 Q70 with 320 CV and the 3.5 hybrid Q70, which combines a 3.5-litre petrol engine producing 306 CV with a 68 CV electric motor, a pairing capable of producing up to 364 CV, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds and consuming 6.2 l/100 km of fuel on the combined cycle.

The manufacturer’s recommended prices for Spain are as follows:

• Q70 2.2d = 45,465 euros
• Q70 2.2d GT Premium = 50,175 euros
• Q70 2.2d GT Sport = 53,225 euros
• Q70 2.2d GT Sport Tech = 56,175 euros
• Q70 3.7 GT Sport Tech = 66,845 euros
• Q70 3.5H GT Premium Tech = 64,595 euros

Customers interested in the new Q70 2.2d can benefit from a launch price of 38,990 euros if they take advantage of the financing conditions offered by Infiniti.
