The new Jeep Avenger 4xe with hybrid engine is now available in the Overland trim
The compact Jeep Avenger 4xe with hybrid powertrain is now available in Spain in the mid-range Overland trim

In a world where SUVs have absorbed almost everything, few brands can offer a 4×4 vehicle capable of tackling rugged terrain, and one of those brands is, as it could hardly be otherwise, Jeep. We could say that the American brand has the most capable vehicles in its lineup in the Wrangler and, although you may not believe it, also in Avenger.
October last year marked the start of sales of the new Avenger 4xe equipped with a hybrid powertrain which, like the rest of its variants, has outstanding off-road capabilities. To understand them, nothing is better than looking at the numbers, and there we see that it has improved in areas such as an extra 10 mm of ground clearance and a wading depth of up to 400 mm compared with the front-wheel-drive version. To this we must add an approach angle of 22°, a steering angle of 21° and departure angles of 35°, not forgetting other features such as the 22.7:1 crawl ratio on the rear axle or the enormous torque of 1,900 Nm at the rear wheel.

With these characteristics, if the rest of the Jeep Avenger versions were already very important to the brand’s global figures, expectations for the Avenger 4xe are perhaps even higher, since the versatility of its powertrain should also be an incentive to attract more customers. At launch, the Avenger 4xe went on sale in the entry-level Upland trim and the special The North Face edition with higher equipment, and now an intermediate step arrives with the Overland trim.

In addition to the Upland trim’s equipment, the Jeep Avenger 4xe in Overland trim will benefit from the following features as standard:
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Black mirror housings
- Door handles painted in body colour
- Driver’s seat with 6-way manual adjustment and front passenger seat with 4-way manual adjustment

As for the mechanics, there are no changes: it continues to be powered by a 48 V electrical system with a 1,200 cc turbo petrol engine delivering 136 CV of power and two 21 kW electric motors mounted on each axle providing traction to all four wheels, all managed through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Jeep Avenger 4xe in Overland trim is available to order in Spain with a price starting from 36,400 euros.
