Whenever Lotus introduces a new version of its cars, we are all paying attention, because we know it will be an improvement over the previous one. With the new Lotus Exige Sport 350 we are not mistaken: it truly represents an improvement over the model we already know, and we know it is one of the most interesting models in the brand.

To begin with, it is a much lighter and more powerful version, which makes it capable of surprising us. Aesthetically it continues along the same sporty line as the previous version, although it has a weight reduction of 51 kg. The power delivered by its engine is 345 CV, so it is directly linked to the weight, reaching a ratio of 300 CV per tonne.

Lotus once again brings the Sport designation to its new models with its latest proposals

The engine capable of delivering this power is a supercharged 3.5-litre V6, which allows this impressive sports car to reach a top speed of 277 km/h. The peak torque this engine delivers reaches 400 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The result of this contribution from the component is what we can see in this video, which shows some of this model’s features in action.

The improved suspension, together with the wheel geometry, helps the control at the high speeds it reaches become much more precise and allows it to be controlled more effectively. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.9 seconds, and despite this, the steering remains firm and allows the driver to act with confidence and efficiency.

With this model Lotus seeks to reintroduce the “Sport” designation into its range, following the earlier Lotus Elise Sport and Elise Sport 220, which have also improved on their previous versions in terms of weight and ease of driving, just like this model.
