The New Opel Vivaro enters its third generation with major new features
The new Opel Vivaro will go on sale in Europe during February. This third generation comes with new features and a possible electric version in 2020
The German brand Opel presents its latest light commercial vehicle, with which it aims to renew its entire commercial range and become the leader in these vehicles for the whole PSA Group.
This third generation of the Opel Vivaro comes with changes in length, a renewed design and a range of equipment for all tastes and needs.

More space and length
The Opel Vivaro and its close relationship with the Citroën Jumpy and Peugeot Expert have led for the first time to the option of three body lengths (4.60, 4.95 and 5.30 m) and a complete range of versions, such as a panel van or the 4×4 version developed by Dangel.
However, one of the aspects that the new Opel Vivaro incorporates over its predecessor is its load capacity. With the longest version of the van we have 6.6 cubic metres, a payload of up to 1,400 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg. This version will allow you to carry objects up to 4.02 metres long.

Opel Vivaro: More standard equipment
This new van integrates comfort and connectivity features. Its new 7″ touchscreen incorporates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems to interact with your smartphone. This is offered in the Sportive and Elite trim levels.
Likewise, it also incorporates a 180-degree rear-view camera, the NaviPro multimedia system with 3D view, and the Head-up Display system.
On the other hand, among its safety and driving assistance systems, we highlight the driver fatigue detector, lane keeping, sign recognition and automatic emergency braking.

Intriguing mechanically
Although we do not know the engines it will feature, they are expected to be similar to those of its rivals, the Jumpy or Expert. Therefore, a 95, 115 and 150 CV BlueHDi diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission should be fitted. However, it could also include an automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive versions.
Finally, it is worth highlighting the news we previewed at the beginning of this article: the arrival of an electric version, which will be available from 2020.
