The new Renault Zoe lives up to its 400 km range and is already a major success
Renault was the best-selling electric car in Europe with 18,715 units registered in 2016.
The big difference between the old Renault Zoe and the newer version is its new battery. The French electric car features an innovative 41 kWh battery that considerably improves the energy density of its cells. This results in greater storage capacity and, above all, a long range, practically double that of the previous model. According to the NEDC homologation cycle, the new Renault Zoe can travel up to 400 km on a single charge, while the old model managed 240 km; that is a difference of 160 km between one model and the other. That said, it should be noted that official range figures are not always representative of what happens in real life. Under normal driving conditions, the new Renault Zoe is estimated to cover around 300 km before needing to recharge, which remains a considerable advantage over the previous version, which reached around 200 km.

The new Zoe 2017 range also comes as standard with the new BOSE version, a very complete equipment package that includes a premium audio system from the prestigious sound brand that gives this trim its name. In addition, Renault adds the option to buy the battery outright together with the vehicle. Previously, the only option was to lease it.

The Zoe was the zero-emission model best sold in Europe last year, thanks to its 18,715 units sold. It was also the most successful electric car in Spain during January.
