The Nissan Murano Convertible was unveiled in Las Vegas

It seems that production of the convertible crossover is no longer just a rumour, since several media outlets online report that the convertible version of the Murano was presented to the exclusive dealers of the Japanese company in Las Vegas.

It is even mentioned that a dealer present at the event stated that the car’s design is quite unusual, as it looks better without the retractable fabric roof.

Brian Carolin, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nissan, stated:

The SUV will be built in small numbers and its design will mark a new stage for the Japanese brand.

He also notes that the car will be introduced to the market as a special edition, and further agrees with the media in mentioning that the Japanese manufacturer needed a certain degree of courage to see the project through.

Nissan has not released a launch date, however it is rumoured that the debut of the Murano Convertible will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
