Interest in camping is something that is becoming increasingly popular. Getting out into the countryside this way is one of the most enjoyed activities, so there are many alternatives for doing it comfortably. One of these ways is to use one of the camping trailers, which are very popular and are being updated and modernised over the last few years. A few days ago we saw the Bruder EXP-4 trailer, designed for difficult terrain, and now we get our first look at the camping trailer born from the alliance between Nissan and OPUS Campers, the prototype Nissan X OPUS Concept Camper.

This trailer is equipped with a battery pack that provides an electricity supply for enjoying a few days of rest outdoors. Interestingly, these batteries are actually lithium-ion batteries recovered from the first generation of electric vehicles from Nissan. These batteries have been reused and installed in the Nissan X OPUS Concept Camper so that camping days can be enjoyed with complete comfort.

The battery pack is built into the trailer and can be recharged from a standard domestic plug. To make charging the battery easier, it can be removed and taken home to be connected to the mains, ready in just about an hour. But if you prefer to charge the battery in a cleaner way, it can be charged in about three or four hours using the solar panels fitted to the trailer.

The battery has a capacity of 700 Wh and offers 12 V and 230 V connections, so it allows several types of electrical camping equipment to be used. As for the living area, six people can sleep, eat and sit in this camping accessory. It also has USB ports for charging mobile devices, LED lighting, and a Wi-Fi access point for up to 10 devices. Of course, it also has a kitchen with two burners, a small fridge and even a microwave. A good option for camping that will be presented at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show and will go on sale for 18,244 euros.
