The Peugeot 5008 is being redesigned to be presented at the 2016 Paris Motor Show

The Peugeot 5008 is being redesigned, and we will be able to see this new model, which keeps the name but is completely renewed, at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show. The event will take place at the end of September, where we will see many of the innovations that will be present over the coming years. This model will soon be available at dealerships as a seven-seat SUV in the C-segment.

This SUV with its large-format projection keeps the compact dimensions it has used until now. Its length of 4.64 metres, 11 cm longer than its predecessor, allows for a generous interior space, offered by its 2.84 metre wheelbase. These dimensions, while giving it an attractive and dynamic image, place it within the group of SUVs and MPVs in its segment that have a smaller size.

The dimensions of the Peugeot 5008 make good use of the interior space, with a third row of two seats that can be folded to offer more boot space. It has a capacity of up to 1,060 litres, which can also extend its loading length to 3.20 metres by folding the passenger seatback flat.

The exterior design looks very dynamic and bold. The characteristics of an SUV are present in the bodywork, which, in addition to its attractive lines, features LED headlights that define its active personality very well and bring it closer to the other SUVs in the Peugeot range. The platform it is built on is the same as that underpinning the Peugeot 308 and Peugeot 3008, known as EMP2.

Comfort is present in the Peugeot i-Cockpit cabin, with a compact steering wheel and an 8-inch touchscreen that controls the infotainment systems. The front seats are equipped with an eight-point massage system to improve comfort on long journeys. As for driver assistance systems, there are also several features that provide greater safety on the road, making it perfectly equipped to travel comfortably and reducing the risks on the road.
