Rolls Royce Spectre Sedans Electric Cars
The range of the Rolls-Royce Spectre will be greater than expected
The price of this luxury electric saloon has not yet been officially announced, but it will probably exceed half a million euros for the top-of-the-range versions
When one looks at the images that Rolls-Royce has been publishing of its first fully electric model, one of the first questions that comes to mind is how much a vehicle like this can weigh on the scales. It is quite evident that we are not dealing with a particularly lightweight model, a reality that should affect the vehicle’s range and its performance on the road.
However, as they say, appearances can be deceptive. The Rolls-Royce Spectre is not only capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in around 4.5 seconds, but it can also travel much further than you probably expect on a single charge.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published the results of its consumption and range tests, which bear this out. According to this agency, the 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre offers a combined EPA range of up to 291 miles (468 km) when fitted with the standard 22-inch wheels. This figure exceeds the range initially estimated by the manufacturer by no less than 30 miles (48 km).
Rolls-Royce will begin selling the Spectre in the last quarter of 2024
The EPA refers to four versions of the Spectre. Two of them have 22-inch wheels and the other two have slightly larger 23-inch wheels. According to this agency, the entry-level version with 23-inch wheels offers a range of 266 miles (428 km), while the Black Badge edition of the same model with the same wheels reduces its range by just 2 miles, dropping to 264 miles (424 km). With 22-inch wheels, the range increases considerably, reaching the aforementioned 291 miles (468 km) for the base version and 280 miles (450 km) for the Black Badge edition.
The British manufacturer also achieves these considerable range figures for a vehicle of this size and weight with a battery pack with a gross capacity of 105.7 kWh, which comes to 101.7 kWh usable. It should be noted, however, that these figures are not yet official.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre has an electric motor on each axle, delivering a combined output of 430 kW and 900 Nm of torque. Finally, looking at the specification sheet for this electric model, we find that our expectations were correct: the engineers at Rolls-Royce have managed to offer impressive acceleration and range figures with this vehicle despite its considerable weight, close to three tonnes. To be exact, 2,975 kg.
