The Renault Scénic 3 unveiled by Auto Plus
Why be patient when there are people clever enough to get ahead of events? The French magazine Auto Plus has done it again after the Mégane, and now it’s the turn of its bigger brother: the Scénic III.
The model that years ago gave a new meaning to MPVs will return in its third generation with the same philosophy of design advances, comfort and flexibility. Outside, its design (it looks like the 7-seat version) bears quite a resemblance to its main rival: the C4 Picasso. Gone are those straight shapes and that angled rear end that pleased and displeased so many people alike.
Features of the upcoming Mégane, and tail lights that inevitably remind me of the Citroën C5 Tourer. In any case, these are small optical illusions in the face of a groundbreaking design caught through the fleeting lens of the camera.
The interior remains practically identical. Of course, now the entire dashboard takes on a curved shape, as other models such as the Laguna also do. But the rest: gear lever layout, instrument cluster, etc… stays in the same places and with a very similar design. A fact that shows how right the previous generation, the one it will replace, was.
Below these lines you can see more photographs, and some enlarged versions of those that appear in the header. Oh, and it seems they weren’t so far off the mark with those renderings.
