The Renault Vel Satis already has a successor: Renault Latitude

The French magazine L’Automobile has published the first images of the successor to the Renault Vel Satis, the new flagship of the Renault range will be the Latitude. This Renault Latitude is derived from the Samsung SM5 (a South Korean subsidiary of the French brand) and is essentially a three-box Laguna that has grown in size.
The new Renault Latitude, which we will possibly see at the Paris Motor Show after the summer, has many components in common with the Laguna (from which it derives) and shares its chassis, but it grows to 4.9 metres and is a three-box saloon rather than a hatchback like the Renault Laguna. The interior will be very similar to the Laguna’s, with some design details changed.
For now we leave you with all the information we have, and we are sure to have more details soon. Personally, though, it falls short of the Safrane or the Vel Satis. Even so, it is a vehicle with a more traditional look that will surely appeal to more than one who was not convinced by the Laguna.
