The second generation of electric hypercars arrives: the Rimac Concept Two will be at Geneva
Rimac has just officially released a teaser of the upcoming Concept Two, the brand’s new hypercar. It will feature electric powertrains and will be shown at Geneva.

Cars are increasingly equipped with impressive features, that make them look like vehicles of the future rather than the present. Companies like Rimac convey this feeling perfectly. The Croatian firm has only been around for a relatively short time, but it has broadly attracted attention. Its main product is the Rimac Concept One, a 100% electric hypercar that has rivalled high-end supercars. The company has just announced, with a teaser, its successor.
It was in 2009 that the Croatian firm first made itself known. Behind it, we find Mate Rimac, a young engineer passionate about the world of motoring who has turned his dream into reality. His first steps came at 19, when he converted a BMW 3 Series E30 into an electric vehicle with more than 500 CV. Today, his company has been able to build a car capable of beating any combustion model, thanks to its impressive electric tuning.
Rimac has just shown the world a video that offers a glimpse of what the brand’s new model will be, the Concept Two. For now, we only have partial information about its styling, since the mechanics remain a mystery. We can see a much more aggressive and sporty vehicle compared to its predecessor, which will help the Concept Two compete more directly with the Koenigsegg Agera and the Bugatti Chiron.

As for the heart that will power this new electric hypercar, we have no official data, but we do know it will be even more radical than the Concept One. The brand’s first creation had four electric motors under its skin, capable of delivering 1,227 CV and 1,600 Nm of torque from 0 to 6,500 rpm. These figures allow the Croatian supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.
Taking these technical specifications into account, we expect the Concept Two to offer an unexpected leap with impressive figures. We assume its weight will be reduced from the 1,900 kg the first model reportedly weighs on the scale, which will help considerably in achieving devastating results. Without a doubt, this new Rimac will put the Croatian brand’s rivals Bugatti and Koenigsegg under pressure, since both now face a tough competitor.

We will have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show for official data on the Rimac Concept Two, but it promises to be quite a spectacle on wheels. Both its styling and its overwhelming power will be key elements in establishing it as one of the fastest and most desirable cars in the world, an impressive feat for a company that has only been operating for nine years.
