The Smart #1 Brabus is spotted ahead of its official unveiling
On 26 August, the Smart #1 Brabus will make its official debut. Would you like to know more about it?

Following recent teasers, Smart has finally published the first images of the Brabus No. 1, the performance-focused version of the fully electric SUV. The model will make its public debut on 26 August at the Chengdu Auto Show in China, where Smart is expected to announce the detailed specifications of the model.
An unmasked prototype of the Smart #1 Brabus was seen in China in April, so we already knew what to expect from the flagship version of the electric model. First of all, the red accents on the bumper details, the air intakes, the side skirts, the mirror caps, the roof and the brake calipers signal the extra power, in contrast with the matte grey exterior finish and the black badges.
Smart #1 Brabus, everything we know about it
The twin intakes at the base of the bonnet, combined with the slightly different intakes on the bumper and the pronounced splitter that replaces the protective plate, make the Brabus No. 1 look more sporty. Other elements include the 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels specific to this version, the tinted windows, the large rear spoiler and the diffuser, among others.

Inside, we find Brabus badges on the steering wheel and headrests, with red details, red ambient lighting and metallic-style accents that are typical of the tuner’s style. The seats are upholstered in leather and microfibre suede with red stitching and red seatbelts, the steering wheel is trimmed in Alcantara and the pedals are aluminium.
Smart has been reticent about the details of the Brabus No. 1’s electric drivetrain. Chinese media claim the model will feature dual electric motors with a combined output of 406 CV, or up to 434 CV. This is a healthy upgrade over the 272 CV of the single-motor Smart #1.
The extra power, combined with four-wheel-drive capability, will make the SUV much quicker in a straight line, while the specific suspension setup of this sportier version and the stronger brakes will further enhance the driving experience.
