The upcoming Renault Twingo will feature the three-cylinder R-Space engine

Before the electric model of the Twingo, which Renault has planned, reaches the market, and after the new diesel engine, which the Clio also received, we will see a new petrol engine variant, which will be none other than the three-cylinder engine of the R-Space, which the brand showed at last year’s Geneva Motor Show.
The engine will be the 0.9-litre, three-cylinder unit, with a power output of 110 hp, according to what Renault told us at the time, and with fairly frugal consumption of around 3.68 km/litre.
Following the report from Autocar, the Twingo will be a little larger in the future, so as not to overlap with one of the brand’s upcoming launches, a city car the size of the Smart ForTwo.
And speaking of the Smart, thanks to the existing cooperation between Daimler and Renault, the Smart ForFour would get a cousin within the ranks of Renault, although all of this is still at the project stage and nothing has been confirmed.
