The VAG Group intends to acquire 100% of the shares of Audi

Volkswagen AG has a clear objective: to acquire 0.36% of the shares of Audi AG in order to obtain 100% of the stake in Audi within the German Group.

The VAG Group is one of the fundamental pillars in positioning the future of mobility. In light of this future-oriented strategy, the Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG, Herbert Diess, has assured that Audi will lead research and development.

Proof of these bets on sustainable mobility are the articles we have been bringing you over these months. Volkswagen with its new ID family. is one of the references of this new strategy. But Audi also now has electrified models in its range. Not only new models such as the e-tron, but also electrified versions of its more classic sporty models.

It will continue to work independently

The aim within the large German Group is to tackle all transformations in a very efficient and optimal way. In any case, Audi AG will remain a public limited company despite that possible 100% stake within the Volkswagen Group.

Therefore, the four-ring brand will continue to work independently within the Group, producing its own models and working on its own projects. Exactly as it has until now, but with the slight difference that they would become part of Volkswagen AG in its entirety.
